  Apple does an about face on Apple Maps being "the most beautiful, powerful mapping service ever."

9to5Mac is reporting that Apple has now changed the description of the new Apple Maps application on its website removing "the most beautiful, powerful mapping service ever." in response to the current Apple Maps fiasco.

It seems Apple has faced these kinds of issues when it launches a new internet service with the roll-out of a new version of iOS. Who can ever forget the MobileMe debacle?
