Just when I think HP couldn’t possibly screw up webOS anymore than they have already have they proved me wrong. I didn’t think it was possible for them to publicly make a bigger fool of themselves as they are already viewed, but again if there’s one thing HP excels at it it’s constantly making a bigger mistake than their last. HP has posted this to their “Open webOS Blog”:
”For Open webOS we are aiming for support on future hardware platforms where SoC’s support Linux 3.3+ kernel and where open source replacements for proprietary components are integrated. Existing devices cannot be supported because of those many proprietary components, including graphics, networking and lack of drivers for a modern kernel (but of course, there is the Community Edition for those interested in improving the TouchPad).“
Congrats on that imaginary gold medal HP, you blew away the competition in record time and judgment. Keep it up. I know you are the only one that has this kind of determination and expertise!!!
