I don't know if the above video could be a SOPA/PIPA violation but I'll take my chances. NBC has been running the The More You Know public service ad since 1989. It finally clicked while watching an episode of Whitney . I'm giving credit to the writers of Whitney for making "The More You Know" not just some PSA about something you should already know (hence the "more"), but something I wanted to know more about. An app was featured called slydial . It allows you to completely bypass someone answering their cellphone sending you straight to their voicemail. There are a lot of times when you just wish the person wouldn't answer. Now your wish has been granted.

Some of slydial's situations are:
Create the illusion of communication
"You maxed out your emergency credit card the first week of school. Your parents are looking for some answers. A text message isn't going to cut it but a voicemail would mean that you tried calling them."
Appease your family
"Your Aunt June sent you a sweater for your birthday. You need to call her to thank her but you don't want to listen to her go on and on about her recent hip replacement. Instead just leave her an appreciative voicemail that she can share with her bridge club."
slydial...THE MORE YOU KNOW!!
